| Pallet
Overhang - Frame Depth |
 |
 |
Recommended pallet
overhang is 1" to 3" over each side of frame. For example, a
48" pallet depth with a 3" overhang would require a 42"
depth frame. |
 |
Pallet supports are
recommended if pallet overhangs less than 1" each side. |
 |
For push back /
flow or drive-in applications, we recommend the frame depth equal to
the pallet depth. |

|
| External
Bracing Requirements for Pallet Frames |
 |
Frames with height
to depth ratios greater than 6 to 1 must be braced externally to the
building or to another rack with cross aisle ties / row spacers. Note:
Before bracing rack to the building, permission from the specifying
professional engineer associated with the design of the building must be
obtained. |
 |
Note: Height
to depth ratios are calculated by dividing the height to the top most
shelf beam by the depth of the frame. |
| Installation
Instructions |
 |
All frames must be erected in a
plumb condition on a concrete slab. |
 |
Shims may be required if
concrete slab is not level. |
 |
Both frame posts must be
properly secured to the concrete slab. One wedge anchor per foot plate is
required. |
 |
Torque all 1/2" bolts to
85 ft-lbs. Torque all 1/2" wedge anchors to 50 ft-lbs. Torque all
3/4" wedge anchors to 125 ft-lbs. |
 |
If provided, HR installation
guides or drawings supercede all installation instructions. (For example,
different torques, different anchorage requirements, etc. may be specified
in installation guides or drawings). |
