The Rack Manufacturers Institute was
organized in 1958 by industry leaders as a not-for-profit trade
association. Its mission is to advance standards, quality, safety, and
general fitness for intended use of industrial steel storage rack systems.
It became affiliated with the Material Handling Institute in 1962. For

The Material Handling Industry exists as a
not-for-profit umbrella under which various activities of the industry are
conducted through two operating membership divisions- The Material
Handling Institute (MHI) and the Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA).
The Material Handling Industry was formed to advance the interests of the
material handling industry which includes the movement, storage, control
and protection of material and products throughout the process of their
manufacture, distribution, consumption, and disposal. For more information

Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), the voice of the
construction industry, is an organization of qualified construction
contractors and industry related companies dedicated to skill, integrity,
and responsibility. Operating in partnership with its Chapters, the
association provides a full range of services satisfying the needs and
concerns of its members, thereby improving the quality of construction and
