Pallet Flow Racks are basically deep selective pallet racks with conveyor wheel sections running from front to back on horizontal load beams. The conveyor wheel sections are at a slight incline so the pallets can be loaded on one side of the rack, flow down the incline, and be removed from the other side. This is for the first in first out inventory rotation when time sensitive products are being stored. This arrangement is also very suitable for pick modules.
Pushback Rack is another dynamic system composed of pallet rack in a two or multi-deep storage arrangement with a first in - last out inventory rotation. The pushback lanes are bolted to a gradually inclining set of shelf beams into the depth of the system. Like flow rack, as one pallet is removed, gravity causes the pallets behind it to flow forward and so on.
